Problems Syncing and Adding 2nd Google Account on Android
The last few days I’ve had real problems with my Google accounts on my Android phone! Most of this post will be of no interest to most of my readers – but I hope for some it solves a few problems!
Is it a New Build?
Be warned, rant mode is on…. We’ve live in our new home for over a year now, having moved in 15 months ago. The house wasn’t new when we bought it, it was about a year old. I ordered myself some IT equipment on Friday (yes the backup saga will probably be solved by this kit!) and stayed at home on Wednesday to accept delivery of it (amongst several other deliveries). When it hadn’t turned up by early afternoon I went hunting for my tracking number kindly provided to me by the online shop I’d purchased from. My Bumpzee Community :: Something New
When I signed up for bumpzee, I created my own community, it was mainly to give me something new to read on a friday afternoon when I’m dragging out the afternoon in the office. I considered the fact that other people may be looking for the same as well, so set it up – I didn’t get a chance on Friday of this week to take a look at the blogs – so this comes to you on Saturday morning, whilst watching the Australia v Wales Rugby game! Wow!!! Google Alerts
I’ve got google alerts switched on for a variety of things, but that last post about welcoming Google back was indexed in minutes and I was getting Google alerts for it!!! I’m impressed!
Unbanned from Google
It would appear my efforts to get “unbanned” from the Google index have been fruitful! Many moons ago in a previous incarnation of this blog, I had a very poorly configured copy of b2evo, which was full of spam comments and trackbacks. This eventually led to to a google ban as far as I could see 🙁 Eventually I removed the WordPress installation (although I still get spiders and spam trackbacks going to the pages where the old installation was – I simply return them a 404 or a redirect (I can’t remember which) to this much better and secure blog.
