Some great resources

What looks like a list of great resources, that I’ve been meaning to look at for some time – I’ll store them here until I get a chance!

Software:
Nvu – http://www.nvu.com/ – Free
A Dreamweaver-like web authoring suite. Part of the Mozilla project.

KeePass – http://keepass.sourceforge.net/ – Free
An encrypted password database. Let’s face it, we all have WAY too many passwords to remember.

FileZilla – http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ – Free
FTP software that works really well.

Clipomatic – http://www.mlin.net/Clipomatic.shtml – Free
Caches Clipboard text for later reuse.

PrimoPDF – http://www.primopdf.com/ – Free
A print driver that will convert to PDF. Similar to Adobe Distiller.

Crimson Editor – http://www.crimsoneditor.com/ – Free
IMHO, the best freeware text editor. To many features to list here, so check out the site.

WinKey – http://www.copernic.com/winkey/ – Free
Assign hotkeys to open programs.

TUGZip – http://www.tugzip.com/ – Free
A free WinZip alternative that opens nearly all compression formats (7z, ACE, RAR, etc.).

Pimmy – http://www.geminisoft.com/en/pimmy/ – Free
Combination E-mail/Usenet/Media player software that’s tiny and fast. Probably won’t appeal to everyone, but it’s worth pointing out.

Craig’s Affiliate Link Redirector – http://www.bitbucketheaven.com/calr/ – $9.95
An affiliate link encoder. This is my favorite for (what should be) obvious reasons. 🙂

G-Lock Spam Combat – http://www.glocksoft.com/sc/ – Free/$35
Similar to MailWasher, but I personally like this one better. The free version only lets you use one account.

Free Articles for Your Newsletter/Web Site:
Ezine Articles – http://www.ezinearticles.com/
Turbo Articles – http://www.turboarticles.com/
World Wide Information Outlet – http://www.certificate.net/wwio/
FreeSticky.com – http://www.freesticky.com/stickyweb/section.asp?sectionname=syndartman

Free and Public Domain Content:
(Note: read license carefully for each individual item.)
Wikimedia Commons – http://commons.wikimedia.org/
Wikisource – http://wikisource.org/
Wikinews – http://wikinews.org/
Wikipedia:Public domain image resources – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_image_resources

People:
The Gary Halbert Letter – http://www.thegaryhalbertletter.com/

Bill Myers Online – http://www.bmyers.com/
Goldblogger (Jason Cain) – http://www.goldblogger.com/blog/

Online Utilities:
Furl – http://www.furl.net/ – Free
Save bookmarks and copies of pages. I like to use it as an electronic “swipe file” for good web copy I find.

Bloglines – http://www.bloglines.com/ – Free
Bloglines is an RSS viewing site. Just give them your favorite RSS feeds, and you can keep up-to-date with your favorite sites from any Internet-enabled computer.

Yahoo! – http://www.yahoo.com/ – Most services free
I can’t count how much I use the Notepad and Briefcase when on the road. You can also get e-mail, instant messaging, and several other tools as well.

eBooks:
(Note: most of these are affiliate/reseller links, but they ARE books I paid for myself.)

Write a Book in 14 Days or Less – http://www.bitbucketheaven.com/misc/writeabooknow.html – $39-up
Steve Manning’s formula and guide to quickly punch out a best-selling book in about 30 hours’ time.

Super Affliate Handbook – http://www.bitbucketheaven.com/misc/sah.html – $39
Considered by some to be the “bible” of affiliate marketing. May be too much hand-holding for experienced marketers, but perfect for newbies.

Info Millionaire – http://web.archive.org/web….ire.pdf – Free
This was the precurser to Frank Kern and Ed Dale’s “Underachiever Mastery Course”. Although slightly dated, the core information is as valuable as it ever was.

Autopilot Income Streams – http://www.bitbucketheaven.com/ais/ – $20
Jimmy Brown’s system for writing an autoresponder eCourse.

30 Days To Internet Marketing Success – http://www.bitbucketheaven.com/misc/30days.html – $97
While it might be pricey for some, I found this collection of plans and ideas to be very useful, just from an idea-generation point of view.
