Facebook sez, “Don’t mind us, we’re just whoring out your photos”

Rise rip

Matt pointed me in the direction of this today and I’ve got to say it’s not something I’ve noticed before, but is something I intend to do something about!

There’s a new bit in Facebook settings:

Interception dvd Facebook occasionally pairs advertisements with relevant social actions from a user’s friends to create Facebook Ads. Facebook Ads make advertisements more interesting and more tailored to you and your friends. These respect all privacy rules.

The Aviator divx

Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving hd

This is what happened to Peter Smith, in the image above who did think the image of the young single was pretty hot – she just happened to already be his wife!!!!!!

You can change this option here:
-> Settings -> Privacy -> News Feed and Wall -> Facebook Ads -> Appearance in Facebook Ads and click “no one.”

Who’s Your Daddy? move

You could of course decide you want to part of adverts to your friends?!

I made this post from posterous, a new service I’m testing – let me know what you think!

It is of coarse within their “terms of service”, but who really wants this sort of thing apart from the advertisers who can save money on photos? I suspect another Facebook revolt is on the way.

I like a good revolt Matt!
