Paddington is Under Investigation!

by Keiron on December 8, 2007

In a new book to commemorate Paddington Bear’s 50th birthday (he doesn’t look a day over 21 in my opinion!) entitled “Paddington Here and Now”, Paddington will be questioned by the UK Immigration authorities!

Michael Bond, 83, the author of the Paddington books says:

“Although the world has changed considerably over the past 30 years, he remains exactly the same - eternally optimistic and ever open to what life has to offer.

As Paddington was hidden in a lifeboat aboard a ship in Peru by Aunt Lucy when she went to live in the Home for Retired Bears in Lima he is officially a stowaway, and should rightfully be questioned about his immigration status!

I look forward to reading this!

Hi Keiron, that’s pretty cute. I remember Paddington but I admit I haven’t kept up on his whereabouts, I hope he comes out of the investigation alright (LOL). :)

Hi JoLynn,

You and me both! I’d hate him to get into trouble and be deprived of his Marmalade sandwhiches!!

Paddington was the basis for my public speaking career: I used to present book reports on him when I was in the fifth grade, which is more years ago than I’m willing to admit. Unlike me, he hasn’t aged a bit!

Paddington for President!!
