The Visual Recognition Security System in Java is capable of acting as an image recognition tool (as can be seen figures 6.1 – 6.3); certainly for silhouettes or shapes, and with a little more work all of the bugs in the system could be removed. All of the objectives set out in the revised project proposal have been met, and with more time all those set out in the original proposal could be completed alongside all of the enhancements suggested in section 5.3.

Whilst the field of machine vision is very difficult it is also very interesting, and the basis is provided here for far larger projects, which could eventually lead into the field of facial recognition.
