Lone Swindon Strider, but great support by people on the route, hot and sticky, wheels came off around the 9 mile mark but was on course for a PB until then!
Still very happy to get around in sub 2 hours!
Crossing the Thames twice and short stint in another county ?
Thinking of those on the London Marathon today
Hard to believe it’s over 3 years since my last official half marathon, of course there were a couple of virtual ones but it’s simply not the same is it? I’m hoping for better weather tomorrow than last time and I’m not prepping for this one with four pints, my sister’s wedding and a dancefloor but instead choosing to watch the Strictly dance floor!
Good luck to those heading out around London tomorrow, I’ll be thinking of you as I plod around ( @chrispriddy and @freckles.runs.the.marathon that I know of!)

Cold start, but beautiful as the sun came out! Podcasts and steady miles…
Half next weekend!
Running is space, it’s time away from a screen, away from a to-do list.. .Long runs are a chance to catch up on a few podcasts or an audiobook on my Aftershokz:
– some serious,
– some geeky,
– some motivational,
– some thought provoking
– and some downright funny (I do get some odd looks running around laughing ?)
If you go down into the woods today… You’re sure to find a bunch of Swindon Striders ?
