Clearly I'm not the first to think about it (and I certainly doubt I'll be the last!!). It's when I look at these people with 17,000 followers on Twitter and I wonder "Why? What are they getting out of it?". At the most, you can use Twitter to try and "push" new posts or content on your site to try and entice people to click-through to you, and from there hopefully they can generate income if you have ads on your site.
