Hamster, Hamster, Hamster

It just doesn’t have the same ring to it as Badger, Badger, Badger does it?

However, these cute little fella’s have become the most sought after pet in China since the Year of the Rat started on 7th February! Prices of have tripled for hamsters to around 30 yuan (£2.10).

The hamster is clearly the acceptable cousin of the “black sheep” of the family the rat! Apparently interest in Chinchillas and Squirrels is also on the increase!

Also on the increase is an army of young children with holes in their fingers!!!
