I’m liking Creatope’s Card Cable Organizer! Using an old card, a whole punch and a pair of scissors you can have your cables organised in minutes (and not so knotted as mine are in cable-ties!).

More to the point if I do this with my Visa card, I’ll stop spending money anyway because I won’t have it with me - a win, win situation!

I’d almost bordered on getting rid of my Orange contract recently, and moving over to either T-Mobile (for their data plans) or O2 (for the iPhone obviously!), but they’ve surprised me in the last 24 hours and I may well stay with them.

Yesterday for some unknown reason the main keypad on my SPV M700 (O2 XDA IIs, HTC Trinity, HTC P3600 whichever you want to call it!) just stopped working. I promptly rang Orange and asked the all important question…..

No, it wasn’t will they replace it, it was:

“When are you going to release the HTC Diamond?”

I’d noticed it on their website as “Coming Soon” and already knew it was a phone I wanted. The very helpful lady at Orange couldn’t give me any answer of when, but immediately offered to have a new handset to me this morning…

I now have a nice new SPV M700 and am frantically installing all my software back onto it!

In the midst of some of the tinkering I have to do to get my phone talking to Thunderbird/Lightning (not as easy as it is with just Outlook!) I spotted the news from CoolSmartphone.com that data tariffs look set to improve with Orange!

Alright I’m only going to mention a few of them, but the 10 things we didn’t know last week grabbed my attention this morning and a learnt a few things!

The cost of the monarchy has gone up, by 4p (that’s per person in the UK mind!), it now costs us all 66p to keep them in the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to - I wonder if I could get everyone in the UK to just send me 10p - I’d feel a whole lot better about the situation then!

Recycling, it’s a big thing again these days - we remember when we were at school and there was a big drive then for it (mainly instigated by Blue Peter most of the time!). It now seems to have come round and caught up with us again. We recycle a lot in our house but some of the recycling rules I can’t fathom, particularly as wherever you go they are different (you can recycle one thing in one county and not in another). But at least it would appear more of us are recycling with 35% of bottles now being recycled - up from 3% in 2001.

A similarly titled post by Putang on Indonesia Matters just made me wonder, do you know of, or read any celebrity blogs? Is there ever going to come a day when these type of blogs replace the Hello’s and OK’s of the world?

It’s amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it… I recently had the pleasure of producing Siân and John’s Wedding DVD. By all accounts it looks OK - personally I can see all the mistakes I made in it…

Anyway I bought Pinnacle at the time, and after a few issues we had great fun editing the video down, but the most amusing thing I found was that they sent me a green sheet with it… Obviously to play with their green screen feature, I had a little go with the this (the feature - not the sheet!!) during editing and planned to have a proper go some other time (time is somewhat of a commodity these days!!).

This has motivated me some more, it’s the story of how 4 guys with a few props, a green sheet and some time on their hands - managed to create the look of a full scale movie…. Take a look it’s great…

OK, So we’re the “Internet Generation”, never has the internet been so easy to access, and for most of us we either work in it - or spend our leisure time on it.

If you’re my age, you probably helped to shape some if it (maybe without realising it!!), the question is how do you feel about your kids “Growing Up Online”?

I’m watching this at the moment online and it definitely makes some interesting watching!
