Commenting Policy

by Keiron on February 24, 2008

Some people who read both of my blogs will already be aware of a comment policy, I have over there and a recent addition.

I’ll be adding that policy here in the next day or so, having had a comment today from somebody called “TV Bracket”.

Keiron, I totally agree with your points on comments.
I have been guilty of one of them - and that’s defending the author and others that comment from some idiot who is totally out of line or does not know of what he speaks.
I’ve never thought of using ‘keywords’ in a comment - they have no place here.
It’s too bad that we have to post ‘rules and regulations’ - one would think that those that comment would want to be seen in a favorable light.

Hi MorganLighter,

You would imagine so, but many just see it as a form of free advertising I think. I should be flattered that they believe it’s worth posting here, but I’m not :(

It is wild that you have to have comment etiquette! 10 years ago, this wasn’t even heard of! I agree however….

Very true, but I think the spammers will probably move faster than us with their techniques - this at least justifies many of the comments I delete.
