He makes a very good point:

Us computer types don’t know how to use every computer program in the world. What we are good at is working out how they are used based on a few simple rules.

I should have a poster put up in my cube sometimes with this on!!

Good isn’t it. One of my team has a similar flowchart about what to do when something goes wrong. I’ll have to get it scanned and put it up.

OK, I followed your advice, printed the flowchart and positioned it across my monitor – I think you won’t believe – all my problems are gone now ;-)
