Bumpzee Hot Dating Spam?!

by Keiron on July 10, 2007

Oooh, I’m so excited, I just can’t hide it (as the song goes, hum along if you like?!). Becky78 at Bumpzee wants a relationship with me, see below.

Hi dear,
How are you today, I hope all is well with you .I am sorry to worry you with my Proposal for a relationship with you, but I know that you will grant my request in good faith and understanding, My name is miss becky johnson, I just went Through your profile at(www.bumpzee.com) I have no options than letting you Know that I am interested in having a relationship with you, I will also like to Know you the more, you can send an email to my email address (beckyjohnson_22@yahoo.com ) so that I can send you more details about my self Including my picture. I believe we can move from here. But bear in mind that Love has no colors barrier, no educational back ground barrier, no socio-economic Barrier, religious, language, nationality or distance barrier, the only important Thing there is love. I am waiting for your mail to my email address above. Yours Sincerely
becky love,

Now don’t get me wrong I have nothing against Internet dating, hey I get married in 11 days because of Internet dating… But I find this a little worrying…. Becky’s grammar is clearly appalling, now that’s no kind of first impression is it Becky?

Now Becky’s interested in a relationship with me, she’s not only interested, she’s actually proposing a relationship – aren’t I the lucky one, I’m sure my fiancee would have something (actually read that as a lot!) to say.

Now Becky wants to send me her picture, that’s nice isn’t it? What do you think, should I ask to see it – I suspect she’ll be amazing – how about the rest of you?

But beware, Love has:

no colors barrier, no educational back ground barrier, no socio-economic Barrier, religious, language, nationality or distance barrier, the only important Thing there is love.

So, I suspect Becky is a bright purple young lady (with green spots), with four degrees in the Theology of Jedi, who speaks not a word of English (probably Klingon) who lives in a galaxy far away….

Indeed I am blessed by her proposal, in other news I’m going to fetch a cup of coffee and probably delete her message!

She sounds hot! I’ve just emailed her my photo, full address, bank account details and credit card numbers in the hope that she will consider a relationship with me instead of you ;-)

Does anybody really fall for this stuff?

Not sure, but her profile currently reads:

“be honest in life”

Classic!

Please report this message to Bumpzee, this is a 419 scammer. These guys try to scam people out of money. Bumpzee will delete their membership ASAP but we need to be vigilant in reporting these guys or else they’ll keep coming back.. :(

I’ll hook that yahoo address up with my scambaiting software, and see if Becky would like to meet my very attractive computer software that will bait her as long as she keeps sending emails to it (him!) :) I must publish one of these on my site one day..

I don’t know what it is about my profile, but I also got this message, along with another, more straightforward scam last week. What Snos says is absolutely right, this is not a woman, but a man acting as a woman trying to trick us into thinking that it’s actually a woman. If you got a number out of him, a woman would answer, but it is very likely that she’s the scammer’s girlfriend. That is, if you’re even given a phone number by the scammer.

Matt, Matt – there’s no point trying to make her fancy you more, she’s a man (apparently!).

:)

What makes me laugh is the lengths they go to, they really must be getting away with this more and more… It’s like spam, if it didn’t work, would they be doing it – probably not – makes me half tempted to become a spammer some days!

Keiron, you will be happy to know that both Flurence and Becky are now sending their love letters to a computer script. It’ll keep chatting to them until they stop emailing it. When they do, I’ll publish the baits and let you know so you can have a read.. ;) If you get any more lovely ladies wanting your body, so to speak, or at least the part of you which is in your jeans – pocket, the wallet, of course, please let me know their email address so I can hook them up with their own studly computer script.. :)

These scammers are nasty pieces of work. :(
